Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and LeptonO Inc. (“we”, “us”) for your use of the QuarkScape mobile app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Apple devices

If you got QuarkScape from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your licence to the app. These terms apply alongside it, and where the two conflict, Apple’s agreement wins.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use QuarkScape on devices you own or control, for running your business. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Free and Pro

The free plan is a complete job book and includes ads. QuarkScape Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features and removes ads. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy.

• Billing. Pro is bought and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, at the price shown in the app when you subscribe.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Cancelling. You can cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under its refund policy.

Your data and backups

Everything you enter stays on your device, and it belongs to you. Because we don’t store a copy, we can’t recover it if your phone is lost, damaged or reset, or the app is deleted. You are responsible for making and keeping backups using the app’s backup feature. How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Figures are a guide

QuarkScape helps you track work, costs and margins, but its totals depend on what you enter. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Check important figures, quotes and invoices before relying on them.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the app to break the law or to store content you don’t have the right to use, and don’t try to interfere with the app, its ads or its subscription system.

Ownership

The app, its design and the QuarkScape name and logo belong to LeptonO Inc.. Your business data and the documents you create with the app belong to you.

Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering features of the app. If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your particular needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LeptonO Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for QuarkScape Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. If you break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
